Inflation Celebration: A Little Bit of Air Makes All the Difference

The show, curated by local artist Jennifer Rod, will feature over 50 works of art and poems inspired by inflatable objects.

“About a year-and-a-half ago while I was moving, I unearthed two-and-a-half suitcases of inflatable objects,” said Rod. “The objects ranged from beach balls, to birthday cakes, to inflatable shorts, and everything in between. I passed these objects out to over 50 artists for them to create an art piece, whatever they were inspired to do. Then I passed images of these works onto over 40 writers to write a poem or something that they were inspired to create. This exhibit brings this body of work together.”
